Welcome to Los Cristianos Hotels

Without doubt one of the most popular resorts in the Canary Islands, Los Cristianos is situated just 15 km's west of the southern airport Reina Sofia. With the wonderful harbour as its focal point, the town has managed to retain some of the architecture and character of its original incarnation as a sleepy fishing village. The artificial beaches are gorgeous and there are plenty of excursions running from the harbour area, such as fishing trips, pleasure cruises, glass bottomed boats, diving excursions and ferries to La Gomera. For those of you seeking entertainment after a sun soaked day on the beach or round the pool then Los Cristianos should certainly have something to your liking.

Los Cristianos is the second largest holiday resort in the south of Tenerife, the largest being its next door neighbour Playa de Las Americas. Despite their close proximity to one another there is a distinct difference in the atmosphere of the two, especially at night. You will find it difficult to determine where Los Cristianos finishes and Las Americas begins. Both towns have been built up and augmented to the extent that the boundaries between the two become blurred, especially around the seafront area known as San Telmo, where you will find the excellent and newly completed beach Playa de las Vistas. The town has a history pre-dating its transformation Los Cristianos into a tourist resort.

Los Cristianos itself is the perfect resort for couples and families who are looking for a relaxing holiday base from which to explore this exciting island. The town is an old fishing village and retains a truly Spanish feel. The beaches are always popular, providing swimming and water sports. By night, the town is alive with bars and a host of restaurants providing a truly international cuisine. Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands. Its situation, just off the coast of Morocco, accounts for the all-year-round sunshine, whilst the Atlantic breezes ensure comfortable temperatures, which are seldom lower than 20 o C/70 o F, even in winter.making Los Cristianos the ideal all year round holiday location.

Los Cristianos

Los Cristianos is also ideally situated for exploring the island with its close proximity to the motorway. Also the Aqua Park and Tenerife Zoo are both in very easy reach of the town and are wonderful days out for the whole family. Los Cristianos is a town you will never want to leave. Los Cristianos has an excellent, buzzing atmosphere. The restaurants and shops that line the small streets and walkways are an excellent day out. The busy harbour and beaches are also fantastic. As a safe, family resort Los Cristianos is highly recommended

Los Cristianos Beaches

Playa de Los Cristianos

Los Cristianos has several sandy and non-sandy beaches, where you can swim in absolute tranquility. The main ones: Los Cristianos beach (Playa de Los Cristianos) is located near the port. It is about 400 meters long and is in sand, exported. It has umbrellas, sun beds, showers, public services and a playground. The water, in the beach of Los Cristianos, is generally poor because it is protected by the port. You can swim in every season. Benefits: It is a very clean beach, less populated than Las Vistas. Defects: Because of the port, despite the water is clean, you swim near the boats.

You can swim in any season, although cooler temperatures and colder water can be found towards the end of December until mid-February. Los Cristanos

Los Cristianos boasts expanses of beaches along its whole seafront; the Playa Vistas, which was completed in 1997 using sand imported from the Sahara, is the best in town. Next to the port, right amid the hustle and bustle of the town centre, is another good and popular stretch of beach with many bars, restaurants and shops all around. Los Cristianos has a wide rage of restaurants to suit all tastes - Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Spanish and Canarian of course. There are also many cafes and bars so you will never be stuck for somewhere to taste the local brew, or have a snack or light meal. We're pleased to say that Los Cristianos does not measure up to the nightlife in Las Américas where you'll find the unadulterated, warts and all, downright outrageous and pleasure-seeking nightlife pack (if you really want to!) - it's a 5 min taxi ride away Los Cristianos is a fairly small town with an energetic town centre but with airy and relaxed 'suburbs', typically good weather, an international clientele, plenty of shops and restaurants. Los Cristianos is in some ways more charming, perhaps even more 'exclusive' than Las Américas but lacks the night time 'edge' of Las Américas, and some, particularly families and older visitors, may see as a good thing - we certainly do!

Tenerife South Airport

Tenerife South Airport, officially known as Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofía), is one of the two major airports serving Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands. Located approximately 60 kilometers (about 37 miles) south of Santa Cruz, the island's capital, it is the primary gateway for travelers heading to the southern part of Tenerife, including popular tourist destinations such as Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas, and Costa Adeje.
